I design for people whose job is the product. Underwriters, claims handlers, support agents, brokers. The work is usually the same shape: a workflow that grew by accretion, users who built years of workarounds around it, and a business that cannot ship into a new market until the thing is rebuilt.

At Coalition I led the redesign of the internal quoting tool, the largest internal product launch in the company’s history. Every internal user migrated, with no fallback to the legacy tool. The interaction model held through eight international market launches with no design rework. I also designed the AI assissted support co-pilot, where the interesting problem was not the efficiency number but the model behaviour: what the system does at low confidence, how a handler overrides it, and what it is not allowed to decide alone.

I build with AI as well as design for it. Figma, Cursor, and Claude are in my daily loop, including design-authored pull requests shipped against the production codebase. I teach a course on AI for designers at Humber College.

Before Coalition: Sun Life, Finastra, and a stretch of startup work. I founded my city’s first design meetup and mentor emerging designers.
